Dye solar cell inventor wins Helsinki Millennium Prize by Justin Blows

According to this report, Michael Graetzel’s, the inventor of a type of dye-sensitised solar cells, known as Graetzel cells, has one the Helsinki-based Millennium Prize. The cells could be a significant contributor to future energy production due to their excellent price-performance ratio.
